scoring program
« on: May 17, 2007, 06:56:40 PM »
Hello All,
It's been a while since I've been able to post here, but I have a question and I can't think of a better place to ask it ;)
We are going to be hosting a new shoot at my place, and I'm kinda looking around for a scoring progam to use (that hopefully I am smart enough to use).  If anybody has one they are partial to I'd like to hear about it, and why you like it.
Thanks,
ML Roak :)

1) It's free
2) It works
3) It does more than you need for it but if you need it then it's there.
4) It's intuitive unlike some scoring systems that I know of.

Oh and if you know what you are doing at all then it's highly modifiable.  You go Alan!

ML,
We use Round Up here at FDMR, good program. I believe you need to run it with Access though. I'm planning to get over to one of the work days in June. Let me know if you can't get a hold of it, I might be able to bring a copy.

Ifyou don't have Access then you can download an Access runtime from Microsoft.

Pit Mule,
We'd be glad to have you, sounds like mom is cooking lunch for the workdays.  I'm still frankly amazed that people have been so willing to come out and help us with our little project with time and materials.  I can't begin to tell you how much we appreciate it.  It certainlly lets you know who your friends are.
This adventure of ours has restored my faith in cowboy action shooting (something that I needed a bit of personally)
Thanks all,
ML

Howdy!

I'm new to this group so I'll try not to make any social blunders.   :o

I downloaded the program for use without Access and it appears to be working great.  Now I just gotta learn to use it.  Pit Mule, maybe you could give me a few pointers when you come up to the work day.  We're sure looking forward to seeing you.  Don't worry about lunch, as ML said I'm cookin'.

Thanks to all who responded and especially Camille Eonich for the link.   ;D
