No Honey-Do

but gun cleaning is not my favorite chore. That was my yesterdays' cleaning job but should have done that weeks ago...
How soon after a shooting session are you cowgirls and cowboys cleaning your guns, assuming smokeless loads? Same day, a week later, a month later?

Bootsie,

I may be the odd one out here, but I love cleaning my guns after a shoot.  There is nothing like the smell of Hoppes # 9 combined with gun oil to sooth the savage beast  ( no worries, I have a window open when using the Hoppes)   I usually, but not always clean them the same day I shoot.  I do shoot smokeless so I think you are ok if you wait a bit longer.  I love it after the guns are cleaned up and I line them up to admire the beauty.   There is also nothing quite as satisfying as shining that bore light down the barrel and seeing the grooves and shining metal.    ;D  Oh joy.....lifes simple pleasures.   Safe shooting.  Deadeye.

Usually the same day, but have been known to go a day or two after. Have a lot of acid in my system and tend to rust them quickly if not cleaned shortly after using.......Buck 8) ::) ;)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

I usually clean my guns the same day I shoot them, but I have been known to procrastanate as long as a week before doing it. Of course that refers to smokeless powder only. When I shoot "the Holy Black " cleaning is done the same day religiosity.

Barring exhaustion or screaming kids, I generally clean my guns after supper on the day I shoot them.  I'm one of those people who love ANY excuse to handle my guns...  so I get a kick out of the break-down/cleaning process.

What a great topic!

Whenever "honeydo" decides to "do them".  :)
