Here is the first model of my recoil boot using a pad cut from a flip-flop.  I tried it on my TTn and it is Sweeeeeeeeet.  Hardly felt any kick.  The end cap is wet molded.  The top lace is for snugging it down.  The botton lace is a small bungee cord.  Gives me a custom fit.  It added about 1/2 inch to my trigger pull and I can live with that.

Thanks gents.  The bungee cord on the bottom will be replace by a piece of rawhide.  I was out of rawhide and the bungee cord was handy.

Nice work, TS. I reqally like the idea of using flip-flops. A new pair at the locak discount store will probably run $3. That's about 1/8 what a good recoil pad will run and you don't even have to wait to wear them out.

Great job on the molded bottom. I really like molded leather anyway. This gives me a good excuse to play with it. I may have to make one for my '87 shotgun.

TS sent the one in the photo above to me....
I replaced the Bungee (infact it came without it) with rawhide lace.
After 20 + rounds , I'm feeling no sore effects .
