WARNING - SELF AGGRANDIZING POST..... ;)
Carving of the 1800's, especially pre-1890, is quite a bit different in style and some of the methods methods - I go over it somewhat in my DVD - http://www.cascity.com/store/cat22.htm
You will also nned to study closely original holsters - in person when possible otherwise via books such as Packing Iron.

Thanks Chuck for that link...

IMHO...you're sho nuff one of the guys that make other leather crafters set up and take notice... :)

I would have never really put any thought into the 1890's being classified (if that's a good word) as a different style or method...seems to reason though if a fellow thinks about it... ::)

thanks for pointing that out..... ;)

Now I MUST go, to the STORE.. ;)....see you around..pard :)
If you get to thinking your important..try ordering someone elses dog around!
