First off, a huge
THANK YOU for all the PMs and e-mules from all of you! There have been so many that I simply cannot answer them all! Every time I try to answer one it ends up becoming a small novel and I never get done! So please accept this as an answer to YOUR e-mule or PM! God Bless You!!!!!!
But I will stop to tell ya that it's VERY humbling to be in this situation. Having walked this earth with my pride for over half a century, it's quite an experiance to be told by some Nursing Student that I cannot just "go to the bathroom and deal with it!" Well....the past few years have been a bit rough on Cuts, having survived a TIA less than two years ago, and now this!
Went to the Cardiologist yesterday and got the good news and the "good" news!
The plan now is six weeks of cardiac rehab, followed by.........drum roll please........going back in and doing some more work on this busted ticker! It appears that some Saw Bones in Omaha was a bit lazy and didn't finish the job while he was in there. (my new friend, the cardiologist, is "fit to be tied" over that fact) So instead of just rehab and some lifestyle changes, we have to get the pump in some kind of shape before it can be worked on again!
I don't pretend to understand it all but simply put if one has an angiogram/stent done, pre heart attack, it's no big deal. But if it has to be done, post/during heart attack, then things get a bit dicier! So they want to build the heart muscle up as much as possible so it will be sorta like doing the work on a fairly decent heart.
That's where I'm at right now. There are lots of other considerations going on in the background but that's the basics. Again, my thanks to all of you for your prayers and well wishes! I know they made a difference!
