Dennis Weaver (Chester Good) dies

It was just announced on the evening news that Dennis Weaver of "Gunsmoke" fame passed away from complications of cancer today.

Another one gone.....

Darrin McGavin, Don Knotts and now Dennis Weaver.  It has been a bad weekend. 
Weaver was always one of my favorite characters on Gunsmoke.  McGavin was classic in "A Christmas Story," one of my all time favorite movies.  And Don Knotts...  How could you not love Barney Fife?

Gun Smoke was never the same when Chester moved on. I was saddened by the news, as, like most of us, I grew up watching Gun Smoke, and still think it was the best TV western series of all time. Prayers up.
