Grass, what is that?  We dont have anything like that on the firing lines out here Phoenix way.

Must be something at one of the other ranges that Fingers shoots at. At the range I shoot with him at, the ground is mostly either red clay or white chat(crushed limestone) Frome when I used to shoot .38s in my Rossi, I can verify that nicle plated brass tends to vanish when dropped on white gravel! However, I never ran out, since it seemed everyone hated nickle, and when they saw me shooting it, always asked if I wanted some more. I have more .38 brass than when I started, and I've never bought any!

Ozarks Posse, Moniteau Creek River Raiders & Southern Missouri Rangers ranges are grass.

Another nice thing about nickel cases is that they don't stain like brass & will wash clean in about 10 minutes with dawn & hot water - even a few days after the match.
