I have a couple of buffalo robes that I brain tanned, I have been storing them flat, in a spare room over the winter. The last 2 springs
when I got them out I've noticed a few moths. Does anyone have any ideas of what to put on them to avoid this. They are too big
to put in a cedar chest with moth balls. I sleep under the one in my camp. Back in the day, the Indians probably used smoke, and
the hide hunters used arsenic. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, my Lowe's sells thin eastern cedar paneling (1/8" or 3/16" thick and 4' long).  They come in small boxes.  Place a few of those around/among the robe and line a few of your wife's dresser drawers with the rest, you will get rid of moths and wind brownie points.  (I found a source of thicker paneling and did my wife's closet, that was 5 years ago, still getting brownie points for that.)

Thanks for the idea, I will put a few pieces of aromatic cedar between them next winter
