Finished the Belt, Holster, BP Flask, Knife Sheath. So what's next. came across a vintage Boy Scout axe that my wife gave me for camping a couple of years ago. The leather is old and crumbling. So put that away and make a new one to match the rig.
First for the design. I want the axe to ride square and be secure, so a double loop with roll over flap.
First design (Started with card board by forgot to photo that part)

Because the axe gets fat towards the handle, a slow raise at the lower seam is in order. Scraps of leather if there is such a thing, glued together then fared with a sharp blade and emery cloth.

A back stop made from some more scrap. This should support the back of the axe.

OK tooled and stitched. Not overly happy with the tooling. Whetted to mold to the shape of the axe (Head covered with plastic wrap).
Left in the sun to dry.
