I have always been intrigued by fast draw.... well, at least since I was a kid watching westerns.

I only learned about CFDA a couple of years ago and thought that it would be interesting. While I have visited the CFDA site and forums, it was only few weeks ago that I met a CFDA competitor at a recent gun show...The closest CFDA events are about 3 hours from me.
One of the things I have learned about people here is that while they like the "toys", they don't like to compete (this goes for "individual skill" sports in general). It is just part of the mentality of the people where I live..."every one gets a trophy, just for showing up" types are rampant where I live.
I have watched a few of the CFDA videos and I will say that those guys are insanely fast. I will admit that some of the folks doing it look like they could fall over backwards though.
