Too late, Slim.  That little sucker only lasted about three minutes.

Check Dixie Gun Works.  They used to sell them.

Taylor's has some of the Uberti Paterson loading tools.  They are not listed on the website or in the catalog.  You have to call them.  I ordered one last week and received it in today's mail.  Total cost w/shipping was $53 and some change.  For those interested, here are a few photos comparing the Uberti tool with a tool that came with my Navy Arms/Pietta Paterson from 1983.

First photo showing the two side by side.  Uberti on the left. The Uberti is slightly larger and heavier than the Navy Arms tool.

Anothe picture of them side by side.  Uberti on the bottom:

Here is a picture of them with the cap off.  You can see that the Uberti on the left is beefier than the Navy Arms tool on the right.

Here's the money shot.  Again, Uberti on the left.  The cap threads were smooth and even on the Uberti tool.  The Navy Arms was a chore to unscrew because of very rough cut threads.

Taylors still had a few of these on hand when I ordered mine last week.  When they're gone, they're gone & according to Uberti - there won't be any more.

Cool tool!

I didn't know they came apart.  I've never actually seen/held a real (or repro) Patterson revolver.  I remember one that figured prominently in a Gunsmoke episode.  'Course, it was blown way out of proportion - it was shown to be a real magnum of a gun on the show, unlike what I'd imagine they really were.  I hardly think they were more powerful than your basic 45 Colt round, and not very comparable to a Walker or a Dragoon at all!  (Which I've also seen in the show.)

However, and this is a bit off the Patterson tool topic, but one of the things I DO like about the old Gunsmoke shows and movies, was that they DID show some neat guns.  I've seen Remingtons, Merwin-Hulberts, Colt-Root rifles, and at least one Root revolver, as well as other less-than-common guns.  I've actually seen REAL Henrys ... as well as plenty of Hollyweird-Henrys too!
