These are the ultimate folding camp chairs. I fondled one a couple years age . They are well made and stout.

Wish I could justify owning a couple.

Since I am not in a positon to post pictures, I am glad that Delmonico did.  The slat chairs in the lower left of his first two pictures ARE NOT PERIOD CORRECT.  They (and cell phones) are the biggist anathemas to a quality PC camp.

I now return you to your regular broadcast.

I will add they are not my chairs, I was never sure about them.

I know I may be called a stitch counter or button NAZI, but one thing I keep seeing in pictures bugs me worse than chairs that are at least made of wood, that is the unbuttoned collars on men's shirts.  Men did not go out in public that way.  The very few pictures that show it in the period I've seen are either pictures of blacksmiths in their shop or cowboys branding in a corral.  Men working away from the general public.  You can be pretty sure those were buttoned back up away from work and in public.  Yet how many times have you seen it in pictures folks post?

I'm not picking on anyone, but if things are going to be cleaned up then everything needs to be.

I've looked at them for a long time, Reb, too.
My brother is a carpentry/joiner hobbyist. He built my dove-tailed camp box that I lined with styrofoam. I know I could get him interested in building one just for the fun of it if I paid for materials. It's just getting him to find the time. He puts more work into his yard each week than I do in a month. But he also has the landscaped yard I would love to have . . .

Interesting thing about British camp gear. This site is nice for interesting stuff, but way too expensive.

There is so much that it's hard to learn it all.  I've noticed it for years, but since the talk today is getting better I thought it was a good time to toss it out.  Although since there is no reason for anyone to look modern underwear is fine with me, we'll just use the don't ask don't tell policy on that one. ;D

Although seeing the shooting outfits some women choose in this sport, you'd think they were, in Genl. Butler's words, " . . .women of the town out plying their trade . . ." ;)

(Now don't jump all over me, folks. I know many have no objection to checking that underwear out . . . ;D)

Mingo you got to me. I went to Pier One and bought a directors chair. It was $49.95 but that does not include the seat or back which are sold separately for $14. It looks pretty good. I'm sure it's not 100% accurate but it 's a lot closer than my nylon pop-up chair.

Off the chair topic but so true. I don't think even most soiled doves would be out in public dressed like some of the ..umm..ladies and definately not packing iron.
