This will be the worse flood Ohio County Kentucky has ever had. They must release some water from Rough River Dam, it is stressed to it's max. Water every where and still raining. All low areas on Rough River must leave their homes. Most of the town of Dundee and parts of my town Hartford. Shelter is being set up at the Ohio County Park. There is water on the very back of our land, never before. It is about to break across KY 1543 just below my house. KY 69 has water over it at several points and they have not released the extra water from the dam. Think we are high enough to be ok. But a lot of friends in Ohio County may not be. Pray for us here in Kentucky. Hope to see a rainbow soon. Tj

Luckily my property is high but other parts of Lexington as well as a lot of Kentucky is pretty well floating at this point. My thoughts go out to you folks dealing with flooding.

As of last night, we had gotten over 15 inches of rain in the last 10 days. Looking for 4 to 8 today and tonight. Getting pretty soggy around here.

Anyone know Noah?

Another week of this and I will be wanting the plans for an ARC myself.

Man I'm from S. Florida which is known for flooding and heavy rain but not used to it since moving to Kentucky 8 years ago.

Wettest April on record. I'm on high ground but a lot of flooding on the Ohio on the north side of the county. We have been having enough breaks in it that the smaller creeks are staying within their banks a lot of the time but when the next round hits it doesn't take anything for them to get out of their banks since everything is saturated. I have a property I own that I hunt on that I haven't been there all month since I have to drive through the creek to get on it.

Want to thank all of you for your prayers. They have worked. The folks at Rough River Dam were able to control the water release at a rate much slower than first thought. The rain has stopped and the sun is out. The water has gone down somewhat and there is school in Ohio County today. Do hope the storms are over, Diane and I are getting tired of getting in the inner closet. Again thank all of you. Tj

That's some really good news.

Sunny and windy here too so things can start to dry. Supposed to get more rain late weekend but hopefully everything will have had time to drain down some by then. I don't know when we will ever get a garden out at this rate.

Be praying for the folks farther south, my brothers in laws live in Alabama and they lost two vehicles and had a lot of damage to their house.

Hwy 61 is closed at the Salt River bridge in Shepherdsville, Knob Creek Range's entry bridge is under several feet, the Johnson County Rangers range is. Pond and the road in to the Bucksnort Longhunter's site has been washed out.

Guess I'll go reload something.... Heavy sigh...

Well it rained all day now and the water has no place to go. Rough River Lake is at it's highest level ever. The water is spilling over the spill way and right on down Rough River that's longest length is Ohio County. All the water here at my home is Little Muddy that flows into Rough that flow into the Green that flows into the Ohio. It's going to be wet for awhile. Tj

Normal rain for April here 4.2 inches. This year we has over 14 inches. That's over 90 billion gallons of water that fell on Louisville.

I haven't checked to see what the Ohio is doing yet but the small creeks and the fields around the house are worse on this round than last week. I guess because things were already saturated.

While the rain and soggy conditions are very tiring around here, (Indy) it isn't as bad as y'all have it in Ky. & Al. God bless and we'll be thinkin' of ya. The sun has been out twice this week (for more than a couple hours) and it is a BIT drier than it has been. (The highlighted word is a tiny bit ...
