We had a great cowboy pass in Evansville

Gene Klaser,AKA Gaby Hayes and JB Books, passed away Sunday Feb 6th. If you were at the Nationals in Evansville any over the last three years you crossed paths with him. He is a great man and will be very missed by any cowboy who knew him.

I really enjoyed each time I was with Gene. We had some good times. If you cowboys will remember the fellow at the Nationals that keep the water and cup coming, that was Gene. He was always there and ready to give a hand. He will be greaty missed. Tj

Denise and I met and worked with Gene last year at the Nationals.  He was a gentleman and a true cowboy.  Westside and NCOWS has lost a good friend.  Mike and Denise Owen

Like many, I met him at Evansville at the National Shoot.  He will be missed.

gene helped me out when my truck broke down in evansville.rescued me took me to the parts house helped fix the truck and got me back on the road.i had hoped to repay his  kindness one day but all i can say is my life was better for having known him.my regrets and regards to his friends and family.jeff farmer
