Well, I finally did it! 

I shot an entire match wif my NMAs today! Wadda Hoot!!!!!! I think I had almost every possible problem, busted caps falling in the lock work, caps that din' set off the charge, loading lever flopping around... you name it it happened! But DANG!!! That wuz fun!

A pard had given me a couple of boxes of Pyro Pellets, and I thought today would be a good time to try em out. I've shot my NMAs in muzzleloading matches before, but this was totally different! A CAS match really wrings out yer gunz and yer skills! Humbling...But FUN!!!!

I'll do it again sumtime wif real BP 'stead of those pellet thingies!

Now for maximum fun, try shooting them gunfighter style. Yeehaw. I have gone gunfighter. Shot two matches so far with ROAs. No real problems other than brainstrain. Belching smoke and fire from two pistols at once is just too cool.
I've given up on the BP classes, but not BP itself. I thought I would give gunfighter a chance and I really like it.
Next week I have a 2 day coming up and I am gonna break out my RVs and dust them off and shoot them with the new Goex Pinnacle powder.
I wish I could shoot my remmies, but I am afraid the recoil of the trigger guard into my knuckles has made me stick them into the back of the safe. I have Lee's Gunsmithing setting me up a pair of 51 Navies with capguards, action jobs etc. I look forward to getting them back and seeing how they will do.
I am actually taken aback that you hadn't shot frontiersman before this. Stick with it, you will have a lot of fun.

Well, I have to try both frontiersman and gunfighter. Done double duelist in the past and been thinking about giving it a go again. Life is good when these are the kind of decisions that we have to confront.

Way to go, C.C.  Headin' towards Frontiersman catagory my own self! Shootin one Remmie .36 with a Vaquero .357 right now.

Howdy D.D....I know of which you speak! But...They make those fine Remmies in .36 caliber as well...and they aren't NEAR as bad on the knuckles as the .44's! Might want to give them a try, too!
