CABINET PHOTOGRAPH OF DOC CARVER, CHAMPION RIFLE SHOT
« on: November 26, 2009, 10:26:56 AM »

(1840-1927) with printed descriptive title line touting his 1879 appearance before the Prince of Wales when he hit 100 consecutive target balls, on recto and imprint of Negretti and Zambra of Sydenham (England) on verso. A fine, and impressive, image capturing the essence of the 6'4" performer.

Provenance: The Mike Butler Collection of Western Photography

For the record, I've never missed a target ball during an appearance before the Prince of Wales either.

I guess I need to find a fine, impressive image that captures my essence. Hmmm, where did I put my "Fine, Impressive Images" folder...

...Dang! It's on my other computer.
