grips for 1860 M/R
« on: July 25, 2009, 02:15:16 PM »

Hi Pards

While I'm having a rig made I thought I'll have grips made for my pistols.  My friend has a beutiful carved grips made with a naked lady, I asked him who done the carving he did not know because he bought the pistol used.

Do any of the pards know who does this type carving ?   I think this style of carving is within the time period.

Paul Persinger in El Paso carved this one in ivory for Cimarron's first '72 Opentop.  I had heard last year that they were going to have him carve an oversize one and have a mold made of it (they shrink when they come out of the mold) and sell them in some pseudo-ivory material, but that hasn't happened, don't know if it will.

These grips are PU ivory from Gripmaker.
He might have them for the Army grips as well: www.gripmaker.com

Hi Abilene

I looked all over my files but could not find Mr. Paul Persingers contact.   If you have it please let me know, I think I'm going with his "Eve Pattern"

Thanks
