well it would be good to make a cobbler,  you don't want to take the chance that some of that stuff will go bad sitting there in the cupboard.
then ya could restock yer supply with fresh fixin's ;D ;D

Congress Passes Farm Bill Extension
  Jason Vance jvance@farmprogress.com
  April 25, 2008

The House and Senate passed by a voice vote on Thursday another one week extension of the 2002 Farm Bill. The extension will last until May 2; that is provided President Bush signs the extension. He signed last week's extension even though USDA officials had said enough progress had not been made in negotiations for them to recommend it. Without a signature on the extension, farm law would revert back to 1949 law at midnight Friday.

Senate Ag Committee Chairman Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, who is the chairman of the Farm Bill Conference Committee, says negotiators are very close to reaching an agreement on funding. Paying for the bill has been the main stumbling block that has drawn out the proceedings.

So just like last week, it's all up to the President as to what will transpire with regards to the farm bill.
