After reading this forum for a year or two and getting quite a bit of good information off it, I figured that it was time to finally get around to signing up ;-). Anyways, as far as shooting goes, I've been an active blackpowder shooter (muzzleloaders, including cap and flint lock, as well as cap n ball revolvers), for about ten years now, and I also shoot antique military arms, as well as being an avid reloader and bullet caster. I've found that the classic "Old West" style arms to be my favorite, as not only do they shoot well, but the style, aethstetics, and even the ergonomics of them just seem to "feel right". Over the years I have accumulated several guns that would work for CAS, such as numerous cap n ball revolvers, (Dragoon, 1851 Colt, 1861 Colt, 1862 Colt Pocket, 1858 Remington), a Ruger Blackhawk in .357 mag, another in .45 Colt, a Marlin 1894 in .357, and a Winchester 1897 replica, as well as an 1861 Springfield musket (which I think there should be a category for in CAS, as, right after the Civil War, would have been one of the original "cowboy action" guns!). Anyways, I've been thinking about getting into CAS, any tips/suggestions?
