3 Spencer "Salad"

Okay folks, with all of the questions on replicas I decided to take some pictures of the Fletcher Bidwell that is staying with me, my Romano and an original 1860. Take a look and see if you can notice the differences. There are a lot of them in all models.

Hello, SpencerSporter:

That's a nice collection. Congratulations. I'm intrigued by the center rifle. Can you tell me how the fore end is mounted to the barrel? Also, how was the front barrel band modified?

Thanks,
Caleb Hobbs

i have a fletcher bidwell repro. you and i must be the only two owners of these in the world. how do you like yours? mine has been satisfactory to me...did have the front sight replaced with a taller blade, the rear ladder sight modified with a lock screw to hold the slide in place, and had the half cock catch fail and so was replaced with a gunsmith made up part. otherwise the carbine is an accurate shooter and very nice looking. good luck, geo.
