Lots of excellent advice and help has been given here by all of the Pards....

I know I'm repeating myself but the DVD by Chuck Burrows called "Frontier Holsters" is a great source for beginners. You will actually see two different styles of Holsters made from start to finish.

It's very satisfying at a match when someone asks "Where did you get your rig?" and you can say "I made it myself". Its also great to be able to experiment a bit and incorporate your own ideas into one's work.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself
