Schofield (Beretta Laramie) Cross-draw Recommendations
« on: March 08, 2008, 11:43:01 AM »
I'll start off by saying I am just a shooter and my main focus is practical gear.

I screwed up and bought a El Paso Saddlery #44 rig for my Taurus Gaucho.  I say screwed up because despite earlier experience in the last century, it took forever and the rig, while nicely made, reeks exactly as though it was tanned with gasoline.  And two months later its not any less fragrant...

After enjoying shooting the Gaucho and while waiting for Steve Young to finish my Rossi 92, I decided to get a 5" barrel Beretta Laramie.

I'd like a right hand draw cross-draw holster for it that will compliment ("not look stupid with") with the El Paso rig and not stink of whatever chemical this is.

I would suggest another half-breed holster or slim jim cross draw fitted to the Schofield.  That is a good looking rig.  Sorry to hear about the smell.  I would think by using/sweating in it the smell should go away.  And hey if you decide that you really don't want it, I'll pay you .50 cents on the dollar for it, JUST KIDDING!! :P
