I just got back to work from lunch.  While I was out, I stopped in the local "toy store" just to see what was new and exciting.  The had a brand new USFA Rodeo in 45 Colt, just sitting there begging me to take it home.  I must say this is the first USFA gun I've seen in person, and I am impressed.  Knowing that the Rodeo is an "entry level" type gun, the fit and finish were impecable.  (I did not try the action as gun shop owners frown on that.)

Had the "defense budget" not been recently slashed, I would be showing that new blue puppy around the office right now.

Now I know what all you guys are raving about.

I agree the Rodeo is a great gun. When I was going through the agonizing process of deciding which USFA sixgun to get I poured over the pictures online of the various guns. I was never quite sure about the finish on the Rodeo by the pictures, and so ordered a SAA. Later I visited a local shop that had a used Rodeo 5-1/2" barrel in inventory. I think the Rodeo finish looks much better in person, the nature of the finish just does not photograph well. I'm very happy with my new SAA, but in the end would not have been disappointed with the finish on the Rodeo.

Hand in there, Deadeye.  You'll get one!

What I like about the Rodeo SAA is the inerts are the same quality as the Premium SAAs, but the finish is durable enough I can breathe easier while shooting and handling it compared to my constant guard being up when handling a Premium SAA.  In fact, my last Rodeo displayed some absolutely awsome internal polishing with great attention being given to the hand channel and window.  The one item that is worth waiting for is ordering a Rodeo with the Case Colored Hammer.  It makes a huge difference in appearence.
