USFA response to ,,,,,,
« on: February 26, 2007, 07:21:05 PM »
Someone mentioned the 'hopes' that USFA was going to make a 'historic 19th century' shotgun.  I contacted them and asked and their response was that 'no, they have no plans to make a recreation of a 19th century shotgun.'

I wish they had planned to actually.

Funny,  if you look on USFAs website under employment opportunities they are advertizing for people to work in their new shotgun program.   I think they may just being coy at this point.  Deadeye.

Deadeye, id LOVE to see USFA re-create the 1878 Colt double with standard length barrels.
I think that would be a most popular modle for them to do.
Plus the others,,,,and give folks a choice of top-shelf offerings.

But,you could be right, till they 'can' make a proclamation, perhaps the are telling on one anything concrete.

I agree Marshall.   I would love to see the high quality USFA puts into their revolvers and Lightening transfered into the coach gun.   Although there are some nice sxs out there now...TTN for one,  it would be a natural deal for USFA and I think they would sell alot of them.  Here is the information directly from the USFA website.  They are obviously thinking about producing a shotgun although I am guessing it is a couple of years away.   We can only hope.     Deadeye Don.

Deadeye,,,,it appears they do have something in the works.  Might be classified as of right now.
Certainly looks like they DO have a shotgun program going...lets hope its not a recreation of the Model 12 Win !  While that would be a good shotgun for sure, it would break a cowboys heart to see such quality not applied to our hobby.
