I am hearing pretty good reports of these old battle rifles.  Have any others bought one?  Where did you get yours?  It would be a nice addition to a British collection.  The current stock seems to originate from Nepal IIRC.

Sir William, Yep, they're from Nepal.Couple of companies won a bid to clean out an old palace turned arsenal. it was packed to the ceilings with guns and accuterments. al three types of Martini's, some Brown Besses, and some Sharps copies that they don't know who made them. bayonets, some very rare, and kukri's. Also some early attempts at machine guns. cannons, mortars, some from the Crimean War! Had Russian markings on them. There was an article in last month's American Rifleman on it...................Buck

I think there are two outfits here that have those MH's, both long and short lever as well as some Snyders.

I believe there are three sources.  IMA, Sportsmans Guide and Atlanta Cutlery IIRC.  The better shooters have been from IMA per my informal research.

Sir William, Atlanta Cutlery and IMA were the original companys that bought them from Nepal. SG would probably have the cast-offs that neither one wanted. forgot about the Sniders.............Buck

You are correct.  The SG orders are experiencing delivery problems.  Some states require registration and on the books transactions.  BP shooters have similar restrictions in a few states.  The examples from IMA have been nice.
