I shoot 45 LC in my 1860 Army using a R&D cylinder conversion. Love it.  In my 1860 Henry I use 44-40. They'll do ok.

Howdy! 32-20, both pistols & rifle(s) cause my first Original Colt Lightning rifle was in that cal. Just made since to shoot everything the same.... Wild Ben Raymond

45lc in the rifle, or sometimes 44spl in a 44Rem MAG rifle, 45lc in the pistols, or sometimes 32H&R Mag in the Ruger Baby Vacs, and this month I used one 45lc pistol, one ASM Hartford Model in 32-20, and a Puma model 92 in 45lc.  I use eather a Bounty Hunter II SxS Hammerless in 12ga, or an old English made SxS in 16ga with hammers.

I can pick up about 5 sec by using the 32's, and another 5 sec with the hammerless shotgun over the 45's and the hammer double.

But I realy like my 45's. This was the first time I've used the 32-20 since I got it from Alpo and I was noticably faster with it compared to the 45 I used as a mate for it.  Think I might have to find me another one like it, if I can.

Full stoked BP 45s in Rugers and a Marlin.  Ifn it doesn't start with a "4" it aint worth shootin.

Pay no 'tention ta the boy, pards.  Talked 'im inta shootin' one ah my clones with mah special target killer loads in it one mornin'.  He couldn't take the recoil 'n gimme the pistol back in a hurry........................

.45 Colt in my cartridge guns (rifle included)
.44 in my front stuffers
.38 S&W in my pocket revolver
12 gauge in my shotgun
And all with blackpowder of course ;D
