10.5 mm Vetterli Brass & loading data
« on: February 21, 2006, 08:44:26 PM »
Howdy,

I have a chance to purchase a Swiss Vetterli bolt action rifle in 10.5 mm Swiss.

Does anyone know if/where brass and loading data are available.

I have wanted one of these for a real long time, but would want to load for it and shoot it.

Thanks!
Regards, Doc

Check with the Old Western Scrounger. Thay may have some brass or info on where to get some. They deal in alot of obsolete brass and bullets

Comanche Kid,

Thanks!  I called Starline and was referred to Hunington, in California.  He makes dies [expensive dies] and gave me the phone number of a geltleman in Texas who sell loaded ammo in modern cases.  WAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOO!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Told me how to convert it to center fire [will need a gunsmith to convert it].  He sell the ammo @ $38 for 20 rounds and bullets for $20 per 100.  Put the rifle on hold till my pension check comes next Wed.  Going to call the gunsmith in the morning.  A new toy!!  Christmas in February. ::) ;D ::) ;D ::)  Now all I need to find is the cleaning rod that goes under the barrel.  Not a problem.
