I think that look of shocked surprise on the face of the Golden Calf says it all.
That's a holdover from when the bldg was taken over by a cult briefly a few years ago while the owner was out getting the menus engraved on stone tablets.

George,
He...he.....I did that for Wymore, just to show him I can be a good sport concerning the Gus Crease/Tom Mix after 1900 vintage style hats.
Joss, that hat went right back to its' original configuration once Lone Gunman snapped the picture. I don't mind telling you all, that French Jack and I got hell from my hat all the way back home for putting it in such a god aweful contortion type situation, it wouldn't have anything to do with me for a whole month after that incident!!!
Joss, looking forward to seeing you at the convention next month.

Aw geeeeeeez fellas,
It's a golden OX! Duh!
And then ya go and pick on a Marine marksman who just happens to be an Indian. Even I have enough smarts to keep on OCB's good side.
We may need that undertaker at the convention!
Remember Bill, I'm yer friend!!!!

We Marines care! Of course I would have been proud to have served with Bill any where, any time any place.

that don't look to me like the often discussed but never really defined "Gus" crease. Looks more like the "Carhart" crease, I get it every time I wear my open crown into the Carhart backstock room at work, low ceiling ya know.

OCB,
In spite of what Delmonico says, it is quite stylish. That is official as I'm one of the NCOWS Style Police
[I am not implying that I HAVE style, just that I know it when I see it!
]
I went to a gun show last Saturday, 12/31, and wore my Sack suit and my Montana peak hat with the horse hair hatband. Got 5 or 6 offers to buy it. But, nobody said that I looked good, only that the hat looked good.

Del, Dr. Bob,
What I like best about that hat is I don't have to bend over to pick up my rifle brass...Actually for the people that have not seen that hat, it is a true open crown that I had Knutsens Hat co., make me. It is a real early beaver hat wiith a 7 inch brim, great when it rains. Dr. Bob, nobody says ya have to look good, just intimidating, Man, when your as handsome as I am it's easy to poke fun ar yerself....

Never said it wasn't stylish, just said the crease looks like what I get in my 4X6 Rand open crown when I wear it into the Carhart backstock room, it don't look like Robert DuVaul's (sp) in Lonsome dove. BTW if you put that crease in the back instead of the front it's a "Longneck" crease cause it's often caused by being hit from behind with a longneck bottle.
As for that red hat symbol, wouldn't eat there on a bet. It's on my list of "I"D go hungry for 3 days first list."
