Greetings All!

It has been a while from last posting as I been winding down to retirement.  Well I have made it!  35 years with USDA are now history in the books.  The 1876 rifle is my retirement gift from my wife, who got it for me a little early!  Now that I have made it, I hope to spend a little more time working with the rifle and doing a little hunting - if the monsoon rain ever lets up here!  I will try to post up some reports of my fiddling around with the rifle and testing for accuracy while doing my best to  leave the boring parts out.  Reckon time will tell if this retirement is all it is cracked up to be!!

Congratulations on your retirement PB!  Tinkering with reloading for the '76 is a worthwhile and enjoyable thing to do.  We want to hear of your journey with your new rifle.

The rifle is chambered in .45-75, have a few posts on here when I first got it and as some load workup progressed.  Am looking forward to seeing how those loads work at longer range and expanding the powder type used (now am using AA5744).
