Looking for simulated ivory grips for 1851 Navy
« on: June 06, 2013, 12:19:37 PM »
I'd like to put simulated ivory grips on my new Uberti 1851 Navy.  I'm capable of final fitting. Criteria are:
Single piece style
Cost no more than $ 100 shipped
Delivery in less than a month

Can you suggest some vendors that you've had good success with?

I discovered that Dixie Gun Works is a dealer for Gripmaker.  I ordered and recieved "ivory" grips with the Texas star on them.  They are very nice and so was the price.  When I get them fitted on a pistol I'll post some pictures.  I haven't decided if I will put them on my Uberti 51 Navy or my Uberti 1871 Richards Mason Navy.  Start the project this weekend.

They don't fit!  Perfect shape but 1/10 inch too short in height!  I've sent Larry Little an email to what he might have that will fit.

Roshi: I should have told you you have to order them oversize.
