Howdy

If you are talking about the Uberti made replica of the Henry, they are only chambered for 45 Colt and 44-40. The Henry is a heavy gun because the barrel and magazine are machined from one solid bar of steel. Drilling a 38 sized hole (.357) would make it even heavier.

The 1866 on the other hand is chambered for 45 Colt, 44-40, and 38 Special.

Check out Dixie Gunworks. They often run sales. They have a '66 carbine chambered for 38 Special on sale right now for under $1000. They have a couple of other calibers too, but the 38 is on special. I bought my Henry from Dixie a bunch of years ago and saved $200 off the list price. But you have to act quick, when they run out of that particular model, the sale will be over.

That's bad business! How long do you think I'd stay in operation if it cost me money every time I pulled a job? If he'd pay me that much to stop robbing him, I'd stop robbing him.

Ya probably inherited every penny ya got!
