Hamilton Dry Goods was again our clothing vendor at the NCOWS National. As always they had a good stock of all that a cowboy or girl needed. Matt was good to see you again. Hope you are already planning on next year. Also hope the National returns to Evansville. Tj

The convention is going to be in Shepherdsville Kentucky next year. Hopefully the Nationals shoot will be at West Side again, it was a fun time and I look forward to going back.

We ( WSSC) would love to have the National back in Evansville next year...it was my first national and I had a great time..

I would like to see the convention and the nationals back in Iowa sometime in the future. This is where NCOWS was born. It's good to have it at other locations but it should be held in Iowa every few years to keep the idea this is the original home of our club.

But that's just my .02 worth.

Rick;

Put together a team with all the particulars (location, fee schedual, etc.) for either event and the Congress will vote on it.

Having been part of the Convention team for the last six years, I can tell you, it is a lot of work.

Iowa would be okay if it was held in a major city with a nearby airport. I would have to fly up there because the middle of March is not a good time of the year when you have to drive from Texas.

Were ever it is hope Hamilton Dry Goods can be there. Sure like their products and the fact that most are made in the good ole USA. But I too hope the National is back at Evansville. West Side sure does take care of us. Tj

Books hits it on the head...putting on either a convention or national match takes a number of people & a lot of effort and advance planning.

For example, we have dandy facilitiies for either a convention or a national match here in the "Quad Cities"...excellent location at the juncture of I-80 & I-74, Moline Airport....plenty of hotels & eateries.....but alas, there are (maybe) 2-3 active NCOWS members in the immediate area ( i amy be the only one "in-town")....and our closest rifle club would not be favorable to a restricted entry match (NCOWS members only)...not to say it couldn't be done...but would take significant effort to get folks on-board. Just getting a date on the calendar has to be done nearly a year in advance.

Hamilton also donated to the door prizes several times over the weekend.
This is a vendor everyone needs to support

BTW, I have a $10 off certificate (door prize) donated by Hamilton's. It's packed in one of my trunks.
...if someone can use it, let me know.

I'll have to see if I can interest the others in my posse. They used to be the ones to put it on back in the day when the convention was put on here in Des Moines. I'll just have to check with them to see if they are willing to put in that much work.  :)
