It was a privilege to be allowed to camp here. Special thanks go to Doctor Bob for the use of a tent and his help in getting me setup.

The Stage buildings and props at the West Side Sportsman's Club in Evansville are the finest I've ever shot at.

You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Johnny, seen you in a lot of them pictures and was very surprised ... you are just a shadow of the man I expected.  ;D.  Thanks for the slide show, them are some great memories put on film and a really nice presentation.  Looks like it would be a hoot and you are right, that stage is amazing.

Too clean!  That canvas hasn't been packed away wet, or caught any muddy splotches around the edges.  The whole thing is Neat, anyway. :D

I wonder what those tents will look like when they arrive in Oregon?

Sir Charles,

Beg to differ.  My tents are over 15 years old and have been put away wet, been dirty and show signs of their age.  I will dry them in the sun and sweep the big dirt pieces off.  Most of the other tents are newer.  Sunforger canvass tends to shed the dirt and is pretty white to begin with.

Sir Charles, you should look at my tent up close.  Like Dr. Bob's, mine has be used regularly for 10+ years.  Up close it has a nice patina.  From a distance &/or bright sun, it looks white.

Nothing personal.  Just an impression.  Your explanations of good maintenance and quality manufacture are perfectly acceptable.  As I said, very neat.  A good show!  :)

No offense taken.

Overall you are correct: We are all way too clean.

Great pics, Big John!  Thanks for sharing the photos.  It was great seeing all my pards at the camptown, in spite of not shooting.
