You're right, those look exactly like the Selleck guns.  Who did the engraving?  They look nice.

What caliber are they and what is the bore diameter?

Do you have any pictures that show the loading gates opened and closed?

So why did Adler want another pistol like the one he already had?

They are in .44 Colt healed. Bore diameter is the standard Colt/Uberti second gen bore.
I personaly will not line .44 barrels, for three reasons, I don't think there is enough wall thickness, I don't want the liability that goes along with the modern .44 and it's not historicly correct.

They are correctly marked, with assembly numbers in all the proper places. Assembly numbers are usually the month and year of assembly or a number requested by the customer. The unengraved gun has an assembly number of 710 for July 2010.

You will have to ask Dennis about that - I just build them! but I think he may have sold the original.

Beautiful work. This is my dream gun. I have loved these for a long time. I own a couple o Uberit's 2nd model but still wanting one of the 1st model. But going from a 60 thousand plus job to 20, 000 and no relief in site of the economy it will be a long time if never if I ever see one in my  hands.
