To say it is disgraceful isn't strong enough. I live near the city of Gadsden, Alabama. U.S. Highway 278 runs throught the center of town. As you enter the town, in the center of the median is a fenced in area with a monument and gravestones. The one person buired there is a woman named Emma Samson. She is considered a Confederate hero for helping a Confederate unit escape by riding on the back of a cavalryman's horse so the Union troops wouldn't fire on him. It is regarded as hallowed ground.
That a city would allow a dog park to be made of a cemetary is not only disgraceful to the Medal Of Honor holder, but to everyone else still enterred there.
I am retired U.S. Navy, I served my country to the best of my ability for more than twenty years and it saddens me to see veterans of any war disrespected in such a manner.
