A couple of NOS Uberti's.
« on: July 21, 2009, 10:01:05 AM »
Ran across a couple of pistols to add to my collection. One is a 3rd model Dragoon modified for a shoulder stock. The other is a 1851 London Navy in 36 cal. Really pretty guns. Both were manufactured around 1985, and have never been fired. Pristine condition. Thought I'd share pics with you.

Almost a shame to get them dirty - we'll see.... ;)

I tend to agree. I really in no hurry to shoot them. Haven't even turned the cylinders yet  :D

Shoot them.  There is no collector value for most Ubertis so even though they are unfired, they are "used" guns and won't bring as much as one you can buy new off the shelf right now.

That is true, but sometimes it's nice to have a few disply guns that have no rings, burn marks, or dings on them. I'm sure the Dragoon will get fired in the future, but the 1851 is just too pretty to shoot - can't bring myself to do it  ;D

I'm not a collector in the sense of monetary value. Don't ever expect to make $$ on any of my guns. I get the real value out of shooting, viewing, and passing them down to my kids. In that order of course!  ;D

If you want display guns, you have two really purdy ones.
