Good Morning Kind Folks!  

This is Kelley, Kayleen's daughter. 

We want to let you all know that Steve Groninga went to be with the Lord at 3:50pm, December 25, 2008 after his long battle with cancer.  He had the chance to see ALL of his kids and grandkids the past few days which was one of his wishes.  We all had the chance to see him and speak with him the past few days which was a great blessing for us and for him.

Visitation will probably be Sunday, December 28th at Sietsma Funeral Home in Ackley, IA and services will most likely be Monday, December 29th at West Friesland Presbyterian Church, Rural Ackley, IA.   I will try and keep you all updated.

Please keep Steve's family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

And may the good Lord hold his true and faithful servant Steve in the palm of his hand. He will be deeply missed by this great second family we all share -- NCOWS.

There are no words at times like these that can address the loss and heartache that such events bring, but have no doubt, the thoughts, prayers and sympathies of the organization and its members are with you all.

An Update on Funeral Arrangements for Steve Groninga

Again, this is Kelley, Kayleen's daughter wanting to give an update.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 28, 2008 from 2-4pm at West Friesland Presbyterian Church, Rural Ackley, IA
Memorial Services will be held Monday, December 29, 2008 at 1:30pm at West Friesland Presbyterian Church, Rural Ackley, IA

I ask that you continue to pray for the family and drop a call or letter if you have a moment.  I know Mom would greatly appreciate it.

Sadly, I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Steve Groninga or his bride Kayleen.
 I came to learn of their plight and fight through Kayleen's updates here in these threads.

I read the words and saw the strength this great woman has...
 Kayleen you have my deepest Sympathy & my Admiration.
The good Lord has a greater plan sometimes we don't understand...
 May you find some peace, knowing Mr. Steve fought the good fight with you by his side.
