Help Needed - Uploading Pics

Howdy pards & pardettes. In the past I used to add pics to my posts as appropriate. The pics were/are on my computer as jpg. Since today that does not seem to be possible any more: I can submit text but the system does not take my pics (of the correct size). What do I do wrong?
