Looking for a Richard's Type II

I know it will be a cold day in you know where before someone would give up their Richard's Type II with 8 inch barrel in 44Colt. But had to ask since Cimarron may not have any  right now and the Italians go on vacation in August. I sent an email to Marcy at Cimmarron to see if they received any in their last shipment. I just sold one of my guns that was odd ball caliber from the rest of my guns to be able to purchase the Type II. Really would like to have a Type I but the only way to get one of these would be to have Robert Millington build one but since that would be two expensive for me right now and the fact it takes so long, I will happy with a second Type II.

I was looking at a Cimarron a two months ago on Gunbroker in 44 sp, brand new for $429.00.  At that time there were three for sale, so I figured that there would be a steady even if somewhat meager supply available.  I didn't have any savings set aside and wasn't particularly interested in the .44 sp, so I didn't bid.  I haven't seen another one since.

I called Cimarron about another gun a while back and they told me they were out of stock, but to keep watch on Gunbroker as many of their wholesale buyers sell there.

Trinity,  I noticed that Type 11 had NOT been fitted with the longer ejector rod yet.

Pappy... while I waited and waited for my Feb.06 ordered Type II...and waited and waited
I found TWO Type I's one made for USPFA as a prototype for Shot Show 93 or 94...
and a Custom Kenny Howell...
Did I mention I was still waiting on Cimarron ?... well I bought both  

Made the WAIT for the Type II ..N/A ...I still don't have it and really hasn't broken my heart....

But Kid .... Keep me posted....

Thanks for all your replys pard. Major, I checked with Cimarron and they had one on the shelf. I had my FFL order it today. Should be here next week. I did have my dealer ask them to put the longer ejector rod on and also asked them to go over it with a fine tooth come. My first one had issues which they had to fix. Hope this one comes ready to shoot.

Picked up my second Richard's Type II today. I requested that it have the longer ejector rod and it came with it. Can't wait to take  her out and shoot it. I will post pictures when I get my camera back from my daughter.
