« on: July 31, 2008, 12:14:41 PM »
So what's your favorite rifle sequence to shoot?

This is one of my favorites

R1, R2, R3, R3, R2, R1, R1, R2,R3

I Think I like this one.  Easier to shoot that type:
(R1 R2 R3 R4), (R1 R2 R3), (R1 R2), R1
The law of the diminishing sweep!

For some reason an Arizona (progressive) sweep tickles the heck out of me.  R1, R2,R2, R3,R3,R3, R4,R4,R4,R4.  There's just a kind of rhythm to it that feels good.

One of our groups (Scarlet Mask Vigilance Society)  shoots across five targets but alternating with one up the hill.   So I guess it would be R1/Hill, R2/Hill, R3/Hill, R4/Hill, and R5/Hill.   You are constantly having to adjust your sighting significantly to hit the targets.

I like the Nevada sweep and also the Az progressive sweep. The guy who seems to write all of the scenarios at our club loves to make them difficult, all over the place. Annoying to say the least, more like an IQ test than a shoot. I complained and pointed out the rules and he begrudgingly made them a bit more shootable, but he slips back occasionally. They also insist on placing the targets at 50 yards, which is a challenging shoot, but not good practice for away shoots which are always closer.

I also prefer to shoot 10 rounds every scenario, He also loves stages where there are only 6 shots. I gotta get my finger out and start writing these myself.
All my cowboy gun's calibres start with a 4! It's gotta be big bore and whomp some!

I like the progressive/digressive sweep but the old reliable Nevada is my favorite.  Don't know why but that durn West Virginia sweep get me all the time(I always try ta make it a Nevada sweep) and it's a really simple sweep ;D
