which bullets to use
« on: March 22, 2008, 12:58:26 AM »
I'm trying to gear up and haven't been to a shoot yet but was wondering which type of bullet most people use in 38/357 pistols and 44-40 rifle. So far it looks like most people use the 200gr RNFP in the rifle and either a 125 or 158 gr RNFP or Trunacated Pistol Bullet. I've reloaded and shot all and don't have a preference but was planning on buying a few thousand before prices get any higher and didn't want to show up for my first shoot with the wrong type of bullet so any help would be appreciated....

I use 158 RNFP, but most folks use the 125 grainers...

We use 154 to 158g in our .38's. I was using the 154g Bonus China Camp design, but Bonus is no longer in business. will be going with the 158 truncated cone out of Penn Bullets once these are gone...............Buck 8) ::) ;)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....
