Any good place to buy bullets for a .56-50 Spencer?

Howdy all,

I'm debating getting a Spencer Carbine in .56-50 (the other gun I'm debating is a '73 Sporting Rifle in .44-40). Now if I go for the Spencer, what diameter bullets would one use for it? Unfortunately I do not cast my own bullets, so I'd be stuck buying some. Does anyone know a good source to buy cast bullets from?

Thank you all, I appreciate the help.

Jack,

My suggestion would be to check out the "n-ssa.org".
They shoot a lot of Spencer as well as Henry. (Spencer in 56-56, 56-52, and 56-50 along with Henry in 44-40 and 45 Colt.)
Also look in their vender section for "Moose Moulds". These folks offer probably the best variety of moulds for these calibers.

For my money, I like the heavier bullet offered in the Spencer calibers.
I hope you find this info helpful.
My best,

Blair,

I appreciate the information and the tip. Unfortunately I do not have the ability to cast my own bullets at the moment. I'll have to buy them elsewhere. Do you know anyone who sells them?
