It looks like I'm going to have some paper 12ga hulls.  I'll keep some, but I'd like to sell the rest.  So, what's a fair price for them?

Thanks Yuma Kid,

That seems to be the going price.  The hulls I'm getting are quite old.  Some may be collectable.  There are also some old shot shell boxes.  I'll see the whole batch sometime next week.  Now I understand that there are 12ga, 16ga, 20ga and .410ga.  Also a whole bunch of wads.  I'll look the whole lot over and report back.  This could be a real bonanza for us black powder shooters that want to load and shoot period correct shotgun ammo.

Myself and BushWhacker just bought a mixed lot of once fired Federal and Fiocchi paper 12 ga. hulls for around .08 each.

Hope this helps.

This is one of the collectible shot shell auction houses that usually have a large selection of shells and boxes.Check the past auctions.

Sometimes very old paper shotshells will burn through upon firing because of sitting unloaded for years they dry out. Also brass degrades with age and the bases may not last more than one firing.

Wow! $6800 for one Winchester Shotshell box.

LOL Several years ago a collector purchased what is known as a Christmas box among shotshell box collectors.A very rare Winchester box for 50 rounds, three known to exist. He paid $13,000 for it.The UPS guy delivered it when he was gone and set it in his garage which was also occupied by his dog. When he got home his dog had shreaded it to pieces about the size of postage stamps. :'(   There are now two known to exist. ;D

I would be interested in some 16 ga. paper hulls, I bought a belgian hammered 16 ga. and so far I've only found plastic hulls. Dick,
when you get that collection, if there are some 16s send me a PM and I would be interested in them.

We've set a meet for May 1.  I'll know what I'm looking at then.  I'll report back.  In the meantime, thanks for your considerable help.

I picked them up today.  Most appear once fired.  I'm keeping the 16ga for myownself.  There's also a good amount of .410ga stuff including paper hulls.  There's a good passle of 12ga paper hulls and many Alcan fiber and cardboard wads.  Also, there are a couple hundred of various and assorted shot shell boxes.  Some may be collectable and others just fun to have.

I'll be sorting and inventorying them in the next week or so.  Then, I'm going to sell them.  I'll be posting on CAS City and other places that are appropriate.  They will be priced to use.

This was quite a find.  Had the pard that found them not acted quickly they would have been in the land fill.  What a waste.

I am cleaning out umpteen years of stuff, and have around 250 Federal "Monark" 12 gauge fired hulls, and also around 65 Remington and Peters paper hulls that I'd like to get $25 for (+ UPS of course). The Federals take 209 primers but the R-P seem to be made for the Rem57 primers, long out of stock. Email is best if interested-- kscchguy@yahoo.com. I don't get to the forum often. I also have a box of 16-ga card wads, and a LOT of .410 card and fiber wads.
