The Texas State Fair is hosting a fantastic collection of relics from the colonial, revolutionary, and independent Republic eras of Texas.  I spent a good few hours at the exhibit.  I took some poor quality "no flash" photos with my wife's iphone.  I thought I would share a few of the items.   The collection is very large and I only took pictures of a few items.  It is on display at the Hall of State at Fair Park until early December.  Forgive me for the poor quality photos.  If you are in the Dallas area this fall, plan on visiting this collection.

I am still in amazement that I was standing so close to these treasures.

Real great stuff - wish I could have seen these items in real life but being so far away make sit impossible but I for one am appreciative of the fact that you have photographed them to share.
