Relics of Old Texas (pictures)

The Texas State Fair is hosting a fantastic collection of relics from the colonial, revolutionary, and independent Republic eras of Texas.  I spent a good few hours at the exhibit.  I took some poor quality "no flash" photos with my wife's iphone.  I thought I would share a few of the items.   The collection is very large and I only took pictures of a few items.  It is on display at the Hall of State at Fair Park until early December.  Forgive me for the poor quality photos.  If you are in the Dallas area this fall, plan on visiting this collection. 

I am still in amazement that I was standing so close to these treasures.

Only downside of this great state of ours... You gotta cover alot of terrority to see cool stuff. Thanks for the pics though!!!
