We haven't been able to come up with a range for a new ncows posse, and since there will not be anymore buff shoots
at Ackley, I got permission to borrow some of the targets. Last Sunday our local SASS club held their annual winter
planning meeting and they agreed to give it a try. The shoots will be held at the Milan Rifle Club (IL Quad cities).
We're planning shoots in June, July, Aug., and possibly Sept. The targets will be the knock over type, with probably
2 herds of 15 to start with. They tried a buff gun silhouette match last year and most of them really really struggled, so I am going to do loading seminar at their March swap meet, and hopefuly get them up to speed. I would like to invite everyone
to come and shoot with us and make this a sucess. I will post later with exact dates and times
Thanks and hope to see some of you there

Boy, Howdy!
Here it is February 3rd and we are all chompin' at the bit to get out to the range and shake off these Winter doldrums!
It is about time we had another series of Buff Shoots, us old Iowegians are gettin' all stoved up just thinkin' about shootin' at some of those familiar Ackley Buff targets! Sure glad our Illini Cas-Friends are willing to help support and feed our 'habit'!
BTB, Please keep us all informed of the Shoots, etc., as we'll be happy to spread the word. I've already had questions coming in from the Des Moines area folks and I'm sure others will be interested as soon as they hear/read about it!
Best regards and good planning!

I didn't realize buffalos were expected to cause problems at the millennium.
