Here is my Mini McKeever cartridge box.  I designed it after the McKeever pistol box.  I wanted something for 45LC cartridges.  The box closed measures 4.5 inches {not including the belt loops} 7.5 inches long and 2.5 inches thick.  Open it is 9 inches {without belt loops}.  It holds 10 rounds of 45LC in each section.  The conchos on the front area bit blurred.  They are Tandy's Indian Head and Buffalo.  The McKeever is my favorite cartridge box.  Very functional and comfortable to carry.

Nice work, TS. I like it. I've been thinking about doing something similar with a row for .38 and a row for .45 rounds since I shoot both. How did you get the hinge pin ends on? I haven't satisfied myself on a good way to do that yet. I suppose one end could be silver soldered on and the other could be, too, if you did it quickly with the leather slid aside some. What is your solution to this? Thanks for the post.

Those are screw on lamp end things you can find at the hardware store.  I solder one end on and use a wood dowel and super glue into the other cap and just drive it in. You could use a 1/4 inch ID brass tube and a round head stove bolt that you have browned and super glue that in too.  Hope this helped.  Thanks for the reply Marshall

The way I do the hinge on my McKeever is I have a punch that cuts the ends from flat stock. then I drill them and thread them. I use brazing rod and thread it on both ends, leave a littl sticking out and rivet it. then grind it to shape.

Thanls, pards. Those both sound like good ways to do it. Much appreciated.
