This is the same Rock Creek Station where on James Butler Hickok killed one David McCanles on July 12 1861.

The Annual "Rock Creek Trail Days takes place on June 2-3 at this restored road ranch.

I have some flyers coming and will scan and post when they get here.  I will as well as my partner Oscar, be running a cook camp for the ren-actors at this event.

There are many things going on that weekend for demonstrations and any of you Cas-City folks are welcome, it requires a Nebraska Park Entry Permit, whoever anyone willing to come in period outfit, I can get that taken care of if you want to hang around and look pretty for the tourists.  I will update from time to time here as I find out more of who is going to be there.

If you want to come, let me know and I will make sure you are fed, I just collect a small donation to cover my expenses.

Link to directions from Lincoln.

Slim you should try to do that. I just made a reservation for my tin teepee as Del calls them. (for that weekend at Rock Creek)
I used to sleep on the ground (Boy Scouts) but I just like a bed much better now. I also have the camper so I may as well use it.

I totally forgot to get back to this thread, I'm glad you didn't come up, I talked to some of the folks on Saturday night by cell phone, things went good, but I was on the 7th floor of a local hospital having had surgery that day, because of a problem that cropped it's ugly head up again on Tuesday of that week. :(
